Elstead, Tilford and Waverley Abbey

We will set off from the quaint Surrey village of Elstead and gradually make our way towards Tilford where we cross the River Wey. Following the river we continue to the ruins of Waverley Abbey which was the first Cistercian
monastery built in England back in 1128. Our route then takes us through a small nature reserve and then along the Greensand Way and North Downs Way. There will be a pub stop for drinks only towards the end of the walk. Bring a packed lunch.
