Finally it looks as if spring is starting - now's the time to join us again on a walk or two. As a quick reminder, you can see our the events in the coming weeks at http://www.surreyyoungwalkers.org.uk/.

Pub & Planning this Saturday!

Come and join us this Saturday for a drink to meet old and new friends. We're also collecting events to put on the programme, so if you have an idea then bring that along too.

We're meeting from 7pm onwards at the Running Horse Pub, 38 Bridge Street, Leatherhead (KT22 8BZ).

Camping Weekend - Alfriston, 24-25 June

You're invited to join us for the SURG annual camping weekend, this year it is being held in the small village of Afriston, East Sussex.

The campsite allows campfires and has basic facilities,. You will need to be self sufficient as there are no food facilities on the site. If you don’t like to camp further accommodation (YHA, B&B and hotels) are available in Alfriston which is about a 10min walk. The campsite also offers horse riding which will need to be booked in advanced.

There will be a relaxing 9-10 mile walk on the Saturday which will include a pub lunch and a couple more pub stops, we will aim to have a BBQ on the Saturday night. On Sunday there will be options for a couple of walks around the Seven Sisters Country Park. All routes may vary depending on the weather.

Annual Barbeque

Back in January I mentioned we're looking for volunteers to help us with our annual BBQ. If anyone would like to help with a task or two then please get in touch with me in the next couple of weeks,
