Web Officer

As Web Officer, Gary keeps members and the public up to date with the Group's activities, publicizing walks, socials and campaigns on the website. His role is to:

• Trouble-shoot any problems with the website.
• Develop the website as a tool to promote and strengthen the Group.

To be a good Website Officer you'll need:

• Good knowledge of basic website management.
• The ability to write in clear, jargon-free language.
• Access to a computer.

Having either creative flair to improve the look and feel, or a technical mind to improve the structure is useful but not essential. Central Office can't offer much support, but there is an email list for Ramblers Website Officers, and of course there's plenty of advice available on the internet. Our website has been built using one of the popular free website building kits, and there's a lot of support for it.
