Social Secretary

Fi enjoys socialising on the long walks. Her favourite area for walking is near Lewes, especially if it's a warm summer day as you can't beat the views. Fi joined the committee for the first time last October, and is enjoying the discussions and meetings.

As Social Secretary, Fi organises SURG’s social diary and coordinates trips away. Her role is to:

• Encourage members to run social events.
• Compile the quarterly social programme, working with the Walks Secretary to publish the programme.
• Support members organising major social events and trips away, in particular offering help with budgetting.

You’d make a good Social Secretary if you’re:

• Keen to develop the social side of SURG.
• A good communicator who can encourage members to run trips and other events.

Fellow committee members and members who have organised trips may be able to offer support and guidance.
