Recruitment Officer

As Recruitment Officer, Sarah helps SURG to grow by encouraging prospective members to join the Group. Her role is to:

• Use the walk attendance forms to build a list of prospective members coming on our walks, and give feedback on walk attendance to the committee.
• Get in touch with prospective members to give them a warm welcome, letting them know how to join the Group and the benefits of doing so.
• Get involved with the recruitment of new members, and keep membership development on the committee agenda.

Thinking about standing for Recruitment Officer?

You'd make a great Recruitment Officer if you have:

• Good communication skills that will encourage new members to join.
• The ability to use basic spreadsheets and email, and have easy access to the internet.
• A desire to see the membership of SURG and The Ramblers grow!

As part of the membership team, support is often available from other Membership Secretaries, and the Membership Team in Central Office can provide some guidance and advice on request.
