Publicity Officer
Carol has been a member of SURG for seven years, having walked with various groups since her teens. She enjoys leading walks, especially longer walks in the Dorking area. Carol joined the committee in October 2007, and welcomes any publicity ideas.
As Publicity Officer, Carol brings the public's attention the activities of the RA at a local level, to make people aware of the issues concerning ramblers and to help increase membership of the RA. Her role is to:
- Co-ordinate the production of publicity materials and leaflets, and distribute them to libraries, leisure centres and other suitable places.
- Publicize the Group’s activities in the local media.
- Promote the Group and the Ramblers’ Association at public events.
